Inside America’s Most VIP Airport Lounges

For premium travelers, the days of bustling through crowds, waiting in TSA screening lines and struggling to find a place to sleep during a long flight delay are gone.

Across the United States, airports are continuing to debut some of the world’s most opulent and exclusive VIP airport lounge designs for their highest loyal passengers, and we’re here to give you an inside look at three of the best.

United Airlines Polaris Lounge is among the most luxurious and ultra-exclusive airport lounges in the United States. Only passengers who are flying international business-class with United, or international first-class or business-class on partner airlines are granted access.

The massive 27,000 square foot lounge boasts 455 plush seating options, 10 quiet sleeping suites and 10 shower suites equipped with vanity kits and hair dryers.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a proper airport lounge without extravagant dining options. The Polaris Lounge offers a dining room and two buffets, serving hot and cold meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. In the evening, passengers can sit at the full-length bar and order drinks from an extensive wine, beer and cocktail menu.

PS, Los Angeles International Airport

PS, formerly known as “Private Suite,” is located in a secluded terminal far away from the traffic and bustle of the LAX airport. For members of the lounge, PS offers backdoor access to the aircraft, private TSA security and customs clearance, as well as luxury amenities before and after the flight.

PS offers three unique experiences for members: Private Suite, PS Direct and The Salon.

The Private Suite provides extra comfort in the airport and an array of amenities including individual TSA and customs, BMW chauffeur to and from the aircraft, complimentary cocktails, private chef-prepared meals and even spa services.

PS Direct provides a similar feel to flying private. From the moment members step off the aircraft, they are chauffeured directly to their home or hotel. The chauffeur will ensure all bags are loaded off the aircraft and into the car for a smooth and seamless arrival.

Lastly, The Salon offers a newly designed social lounge with a semi-private TSA screening, transportation across the airfield, complimentary cocktails and bites and a shower spa available upon request.

American Airlines closed their official Flagship Lounge and dining experience in March 2020 due to COVID-19, but the company just reopened the lounge on Sep 16, 2021 with revamped services and amenities. Most notably, the company collaborated with awe-inspiring local chefs to enhance their dining menus and prepare meals with locally sourced ingredients.

To access the Flagship Lounge, customers must be a top-tier elite flying on an international itinerary, a Concierge Key member, or a Oneworld Emerald or Sapphire member. Otherwise, passengers must book an international Flagship First or Flagship Business cabin flight to enjoy the lounge.

Expansive seating, specialty cocktail bars, premium wine tables and private shower suites are just a few of the many luxurious inclusions at the Flagship Lounge.

So, what are you waiting for? Take your flying experience to the next level by signing up for these VIP airport offerings. You’ll be flying high, and living the high life in no time!
