Earth Day is fast-approaching on April 22nd. Every year on this date, more than 190 countries around the world celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970 (EarthDay.org). What initially began as environmental teach-ins on a few American college campuses has transformed into a global movement that mobilizes 1 billion people every year to take action on behalf of the planet.
This year, we’re extending Earth Day into a week-long celebration, during which we challenge you to go green for Mother Earth. From April 20–26, you can take a step towards becoming a carbon-neutral traveler by offsetting your flight-related carbon emissions directly within the app. App in the Air will automatically use your flight history to calculate your personal carbon footprint. 100% of carbon offset purchases made in-app will go towards clean energy projects, available through our partnership with CBL Markets.
